In an act of total and unadulterated greed eBay has announced, as of 21 August 2006, that it will be increasing the fees it charges for sellers to list items in their eBay Stores.
The new fee structure will constitute an increase of up to 500% in listing fees and 200% in Final Value Fees which means that a majority of eBay Store owners will no longer be able to afford to sell the items listed in their stores.
To continue would mean that prices would need to be increased across the board which is simply not economical for customers.
This increase will affect all sellers who maintain an eBay Store so be prepared to watch all of your favourite sellers disappear.
We can only hope that eBay will wake up to themselves and abandon this ridiculous new fee structure so that we can all continue to sell a great range of products at low prices.
